It's getting quiet...

At my house anyway, probably not around here as I know there are lots of readers trying to stay up for the whole thing! After a bit of a derailment this evening, I've managed to finish book #3 during a hot bath. Now I have most of the house to myself, with the kitties as company, and am contemplating that ice cream treat I mentioned earlier, maybe I will torture you with a picture of it next update! I'm still going to stick it out for awhile, and have chosen a small stack from my book pool to choose from, so I don't have to disturb the hubby by going into the bedroom while he's trying to sleep, I'm going to try out my comfy chair for awhile and see how that goes. I'm also going to give up on trying to track how long I've actually been reading, because I think that's kind of been stressing me, as it seems like I haven't spent much time at it today when that was what I wanted to devote my day to. See you all in awhile!

Title: Dead Over Heels (Aurora Teagarden #5)
Author: Charlaine Harris
Total Pages: 253
Time Started: 4:40 PM
Time Finished: 12:42 AM
Thoughts: I'm really enjoying this series, Roe just has a knack for being in the middle of murders! For a librarian and fairly conservative normal person, she seems to get herself in some bizarre situations, and inspire some outrageous behavior!

Title: Visions of Sugar Plums
Author: Janet Evanovich
Total Pages: 164 hopefully will be done with this one by the next check in, fingers crossed!
Time Started: 10:26 AM I kind of lost track, but I'm going to guess I spent about 2 1/2 hours total on this one.
Time Finished:3:15 PM
Thoughts: A mysterious stranger appears in Stephanie's apartment and tries to help her find the Christmas Spirit! And per the norm, yes, her car does get trashed. I don't feel like this is really a spoiler, since it happens in every book, and really it's just more of a confirmation that yes, this was another great Stephanie Plum story!

Title: The Private Life of the Cat Who...
Author: Lilian Jackson Braun
Total Pages: 123
Time Started: 7:25 am
Time Finished: 8:40 am
Thoughts: Kind of like when a couple of cat-loving friends get together and tell stories on their treasured pets. Not really necessary to have read the Cat Who series, if you're a cat lover it would be a cute and fast read, but probably you would get more out of it if you are already somewhat familiar with the basic idea of the series. A nice quick start to my read-a-thon day!

  1. Wish I was there to share your ice cream -- you know, cause you invited me and all. ;)

I'm definitely still enjoying my current read. I'm hoping to finish it & at least start my next one before it's all said & done!

  2. Yes, books and ice cream go together perfectly! Glad you were able to get back on track. I find keeping track of the time kind of stressful too so it's good to just focus on the books. Good luck for these last few hours. Happy reading!
