Ah the Power of Coffee!

I am one Grande Iced Soy Caramel White Mocha Latte with Whip happier than I was last time. Hubby looked at my car and confirmed just some plastic scuffing, no biggie, so at least I can stop worrying about that! Whew! My biggest problem now? I ran out of said fru-fru coffee and wish I had another one! Ah well, we'd stop appreciating that kind of stuff if we had a never ending supply of it, right? Okay, back to reading!

Mini-Challenge: Attempting Audiobooks

I'm actually a big fan of audiobooks and have an audible account, so I know how the right narrator can make a bad book good, or a good book bad in the reading.

I didn't find The Private Life of the Cat Who, but I did find Visions of Sugar Plums read by Lorelei King, and Dead Over Heels read by Therese Plummer. Lorelei I have listened to on a Stephanie Plum novel before, but Therese was a new one for me. She seems to be good though, and I would enjoy listening to her. I especially like the ones that do different voices, and it's very impressive when the different voices have to be male or female and with different accents in close succession! I didn't initially think I would like audio books, but I'm definitely a convert as I can listen to them while driving, and at work on my iPod now, provided I don't have to think too hard about what I'm doing at the time! lol! I have actually listened to and enjoyed books that I probably wouldn't have bothered with just in book format, I would have to say that audiobooks have broadened my reading horizons!

Thanks for the challenge!

Thoughts: A mysterious stranger appears in Stephanie's apartment and tries to help her find the Christmas Spirit! And per the norm, yes, her car does get trashed. I don't feel like this is really a spoiler, since it happens in every book, and really it's just more of a confirmation that yes, this was another great Stephanie Plum story!

Title: The Private Life of the Cat Who...
Author: Lilian Jackson Braun
Total Pages: 123
Time Started: 7:25 am
Time Finished: 8:40 am
Thoughts: Kind of like when a couple of cat-loving friends get together and tell stories on their treasured pets. Not really necessary to have read the Cat Who series, if you're a cat lover it would be a cute and fast read, but probably you would get more out of it if you are already somewhat familiar with the basic idea of the series. A nice quick start to my read-a-thon day!

  1. After dinner, I have every plan to bribe the hubs to go get me a frozen coffee drink - or make one. Something. Anything :)
