WWW Wednesdays 8/14/13

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

* What are you currently reading?
* What did you recently finish reading?
* What do you think you’ll read next?

Then head on over to Should be Reading and leave a comment with a link to your post so others can see!

What I am currently reading:

New this week:

Still working on from previous weeks:

What I have recently finished:
Genesis by Bernard Beckett

From the library, I'll be honest, I was looking for thin, in the fantasy section, and when I pulled this out I saw a blurb by Jonathan Stroud on the cover, so I decided to give it a try.  Also the Goodreads rating was 3.8 so why not? Sounds sci-fi, artificial intelligence concerned, with a Utopia that is perhaps not as perfect as it appears.
All About Emily by Connie Willis

Another library find, same as Genesis, I was looking for quick, and saw this one by Connie Willis, author of  The Doomsday Book. This is another short novel about artificial intelligence like Genesis, treated much differently, yet with some similar aspects. You can see my discussion post on this idea here.
An Echo in the Bone (Outlander #7) by Diana Gabaldon

I finished!  Yay!  I was going to say that this one was a bit boring in comparison to the others, but so much happens towards the end!  Multiple cliffhangers and #8 doesn't come out until March 2014!

What I think is up next:

I can't wait to see what the rest of you have been up to! Happy Wednesday!

  1. The cover for Indexing is absolutely gorgeous! I'd definitely read that based on the cover. Naughty, I know..to judge a book by its cover.

  3. I've never heard of Quiet and its looks to be a fascinating read. I would love to know what you think of it. City of Ashes was better than City of bones in my opinion. I hope you enjoy them. I've also been meaning to read Holly Blacks faerie series. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
