I am so excited that it's Bout of Books time again! *Does a happy dance, accidentally knocks over a stack of books, looks embarrassed and quickly sits back down.* I am also a challenge host this time, that's a big step for me and I'm very nervous about it! I hope you will have fun with that on Friday when it goes live! In the meantime, lets get our read-a-thon on and see what we can do!
If you're wondering what Bout of Books is all about, here is a quick note of explanation. If you click on the picture above it will take you to the Bout of Books site where you can join the fun!
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog.

My goals are up at http://gee-elsi.livejournal.com/109247.html. I'll record my starting position(s) since I've already started reading three books. I've barely begun them -- about 3 chapters into each one -- but I may read a bit more before the actual start at midnight.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will love dragon bound^^ those are good goals and i wish you all the best
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're making some great progress! I'm so glad you're liking Dragon Bound. It really is an excellent read. I hope that the rest of Bout of Books is good to you!
ReplyDeleteI need to remember next BOB to write down whose blog I'm visiting. It's such a great idea! You are doing amazing so far :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGreat job so far! I will have to check out Agent to the Stars. I listened the audiobook for Redshirts earlier this year and really liked it. I agree that Scalzi and Wheaton are a good match.
ReplyDeleteI meant to check out Dragon Bound last time I stopped by. Going to Goodreads to do that now before I forget :) Your challenge was super unique. Wish I would've set aside time today to do it!
ReplyDeleteLove your "in 6 words" summaries, especially the one about the tail haha.
ReplyDeleteThe mad libs challenge was really fun! I hope it becomes a regular challenge, like book spine poetry, one that keeps coming back every event. (Although, was "spend a LOT of time with" supposed to be a euphemism? When I read my finished product it seemed a little... suggestive? Perhaps I should have picked a hero rather than a heroine, though it could work as a girls' night in, I guess.)
