Teaser Tuesdays 9/21/10

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Okay, that was a little more than two sentences, but you really needed the whole thing! ;)

  4. I keep seeing Viehl's books around but haven't gotten the nerve up to buy one yet (paranormal romance - not into the romance part). The teaser sounds like the author is kind of funny. Is there a lot of good story and humor with the romance? or is there a lot of ....ahem...throbbing parts, and hot-blood? (you know what I mean?)

  5. @Mardel - she is very funny, the Kyn are very traditional in most ways, considering most of them are from Templar/Holy War times, Alexandra on the other hand (she is the lady love from the first book, and she and Michael are in every book since they are the leaders of the American located Kyn, and her ongoing search to discover how to cure them of their vampirism is a thread through all the books) is a thoroughly modern girl, sarcastic and irreverent, they either are horrified by her or amused at her ways. She usually throws them for a loop. Each book is mainly about a different Kyn lord and the girl he falls for, and yes, I'm afraid there are throbbing parts and hot-blood. ;) However, if you want to try the author, but are not so much into romance, she's written a Sci-Fi series: StarDoc, which I've read the first of and really liked, will be reading the next one soon.
