I am so excited that it's Bout of Books time again! Since I've taken the pressure off of myself to read certain numbers or types of books, I've really enjoyed my reading a lot more this year. I had a fantastic day on Dewey's Read-a-thon a few weeks ago and I'm hoping that momentum carries over here!
I'm giving myself a goal of 1,000 pages, so no pressure to finish anything, just read what I'm in the mood for!
If you're not familiar with Bout of Books, here's a little explanation:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team |

Looks like an interesting book. A page goal is interesting. I haven't set any goals -- I just plan to read in all my spare time.
ReplyDeleteI decided not to set a goal myself other than to read bookcrossing registered books for this read a thon. Although it is tempting to pull out my Nook for today's errand running since I will be on the bus.
ReplyDeleteGood reading ;)
One more day! I didn't get a lot of reading done today (Saturday). First of all I napped almost all of the morning and then in the afternoon I wound up browsing through a cookbook rather than reading.
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy the Stephen Blackmoore book? It looks interesting. I may have to check it out soon.
Dead Things was good, I gave it a 4, but I'm not sure if I'll go for the rest of them. I'd have to say I liked Sandman Slim better. It got pretty violent/gory and I need more humor of some kind to offset that kind of thing.
